07-05-2021

This March saw Accutech deliver a data management and resilience webinar focused on the solutions we provide with the use of state-of-the-art software by Veritas.

Accutech Seminar on SaaS Backup and NetBackup for Clouds

On March 17, 2021, Veritas TS Manager Paris Kaskas, Accutech Technical Director Manos N. Tsavolakis, and Accutech Commercial Director Nikos Anagnostopoulos joined forces to present via Zoom a 1.5-hour long webinar on SaaS backup, NetBackup appliances, and how Accutech’s services portfolio can unlock their full potential for organizations of all types.

Starting at 11pm, Nikos Anagnostopoulos welcomed viewers and introduced the event. Viewers were then invited to watch presentations of the above topics, and submit their questions in three respective Q&A sessions.

In full alignment with its holistic, secure and accurate approach, Accutech put together this webinar as a window into how the team harness and employ the power of Veritas data management software across the different stages of a project – from consultation and assessment to design, implementation, testing and fine-tuning, not forgetting the training of client staff and operational support.

The Three Presentations

Enterprise recovery and availability as a service are delivered via Veritas SaaS backup for O365 (Office 365/Microsoft 365) apps and data, as well as Veritas NetBackup Appliances. With this advanced technology, the focus is on information, not infrastructure. Data can be managed and safeguarded regardless of how complicated the environment is, in accordance with industry and locale-related compliance mandates as well as client expectations and internal policies.

Specifically, Paris Kaskas from Veritas focused his segment on SaaS Backup, starting by debunking some misconceptions about Office 365. Many of its users mistakenly believe that data protection is included, which is not true. In corporate and enterprise environments, where data protection is of the utmost importance, Veritas SaaS Backup provides comprehensive data protection for all elements of the Office 365 suite as well as Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online.

Paris Kaskas proceeded to present the NetBackup Appliances 4.0. Agile, scalable and integrated, they are specialized hardware appliances with sophisticated architecture and purpose-built software. Accutech’s experience delivers this technology to clients across sectors, regardless of organization size and setup, including cloud, hybrid, physical, Windows, Oracle, Unix, Linux, etc. The result is enhanced, cutting-edge database protection.

Bringing all of the above together and presenting it through the lens of Accutech’s portfolio, Manos Tsavolakis spoke about how his team identifies the right solution for each client, implements the technology and fine-tunes it, setting up a holistic safety net for client data across the various locations where it resides, including cloud and on-premises.
